The RINA Group has obtained notification as Notified Body authorised to undertake inspections in Italy on lifting appliances and pressure equipment

The RINA Group has obtained notification as body authorised to undertake inspections in Italy (as per Art. 71 of the Consolidated Safety Act) of lifting appliances (cranes, crane trucks, bridge cranes, hoists, mobile bridges, aerial ladders) and of pressure equipment (vessels, piping, gas,steam, heating assemblies and generators).
Four  years after publication of the Consolidated Act 81/08, regulating the delicate issue of occupational safety, the RINA Group is one of the first bodies to have obtained authorisation to inspect lifting appliances and pressure equipment in ten Italian regions.
Consequently, inspections of pressure equipment will be performed by RINA in all ten regions: Piemonte, Lombardia, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Liguria, Toscana, Campania, Puglia and Sicilia.
As concerns the lifting appliances sector, it's necessary to distinguish between lifting appliances for things, for which inspection activities will be undertaken in all the above regions except Sicilia and those for people where the inspection activities can presently be undertaken in Piemonte, Liguria, Campania and Puglia.
